I am in awe of how complicated and intertwined these sciences are. To fully comprehend the production of quality food that is truly nutritious requires understanding in so many disciplines. You (plural) have my utmost respect.
If only a small understanding of the foraging industry was common knowledge then all of humanity would be healthier and happier. This cannot be overstated. Keep up the good work.
Quoting the final paragraph of Berg and Stein's 2021 paper:
"The complexity of IAA mixed meal complements are a lot for the average consumer to mentally digest (pun intended). Even if the IAA contents of these foods were listed on the ingredient label as the FAO (2013) recommended, this would not necessarily be helpful to consumers attempting to create a mixed meal balanced in IAA requirements because food labels do not account for the digestibility of the protein. Furthermore, plant proteins offer an even greater level of complexity owing to the antinutritional factors that are naturally present. *Consequently, obtaining a protein balance to meet human amino acid requirements in mixed meals is made much simpler by utilizing muscle foods compared with plant-based sources of protein.*" [emphasis mine]

Thank you, Henry. Your support encourages me.

As someone with credentials once told me, it’s impossible to get enough protein from a strict vegan diet. It’s also incredibly complicated.
Whereas adding “muscle foods” makes it so much simpler.
